The Executive Committee has decided on increasing the fee for the dinner and speaker to $30.00

The fee for the Speaker only hasn't change and will stay at $5.00.

August Chair's message

Happy August to all!
 I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and are planning on joining us this September 11th, which is now known as Patriot’s Day for the entire nation. We will have Lars Gacad speaking on the subject of Strategic Quality Planning.
        Our Section will also be awarding Yarde Metals a special recognition award for excellence in productivity and quality improvement. The Executive Committee and Awards Committee were quite impressed with Yarde Metals and combined felt that this recognition award should be given to the team at Yarde Metals.
      The next subject I would like to bring up is our fall offering by the Education team.

So all you have to do is let John Sweney know that you are interested in the class by sending him an email of interest. The details are available on the website under Education and a special link on the front page. These links will pop up with all the information, ready to print out. Either way will get you into our training classes.

 The last item I would like to bring up is our listing for this year’s events. We have a partial listing of events that Howard Herman and the Programs team are working on for the rest of the year.  As soon as we can, the entire list will be published.

The Woman in Quality Network

Dorian Shainin Medal

Dorian Shainin, a long time member of ASQ Hartford and the North East Quality Council, is best known for the "Shainin Techniques" - practical tools he developed to help manufacturers solve problems, including problems that had been considered unsolvable.
