We are currently have a Quality Director position open in a growing southern New England (Massachusetts) commercial/aerospace fastener distributor - an employee-owned company that has an exciting opportunity – preferably with large commercial and defense/aerospace prime OEM experience. 

The ideal candidate will have experience and a solid understanding of:

Maintain ISO 9001:2008 and AS9120 certifications

Implementation of aerospace fastener standards, such as QSLD, ASQR, and various specific quality requirements

Work with end-users, manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors

Overseeing Kaizen and Lean programs

Contribute to policy deployment initiative

Identify and solve quality deficiencies and implement necessary measures to ensure continuous quality improvement

Candidates must have:

Bachelor’s degree in applied science, engineering or a related field

Thorough understanding of military/aerospace standards such as MS, NAS, AN NA, AS, and NSA

Five years minimum experience in quality assurance for a manufacturer or distributor

A successful / demonstrated track record in quality inspection

Willingness to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes

History of personal and professional development

Exceptional written and oral communication skills

A high level of energy and self-initiative

A demonstrated track record of driving for results and achieving positive outcomes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
