Position: Quality Engineer Summary: Responsible for administrating an electronic statistical process control data collection system utilized in manufacturing and provides feedback to managements on the results of data collected. Responsibilities: 1. Drives productivity improvements through statistical process control and new gage technology supporting OPT in selection of parts and the determination of characteristics for data collection. 2. Determines proper data collection methods for each part and characteristic including how and where to get the data, selection of correct gauging and selection of the proper data collection chart. 3. Analyzes data to determine process capability, control and improvement. 4. Leads root cause investigations. 5. Performs designs of experiments. 6. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and processes. Reports safety incidents to supervisor. 7. Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area. 8. Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed. Qualifications: Education: BS degree in Industrial Technologies or Mechanical Engineering Experience: 0-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong background in statistics required, ASQ-CQE preferred.
