Quality Engineer (Wallingford, CT)

APS Technology, headquartered in Wallingford, CT, designs, develops and manufactures electromechanical equipment that operates in harsh environments including oil wells during drilling operations.  Our international company provides equipment used throughout the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:  Create, implement and revise Quality plans and procedures. Participate in the development and revision of qualification and production test procedures. Determine root cause and recommend corrective action for product quality problems. Evaluate prototypes for conformance to design requirements and workmanship standards. Interface with customer and suppliers concerning Quality matters. Process Quality Control Statistical data as required. Assist in training inspection and production employees as required. Assist in the selection and purchase of inspection and test equipment. Survey potential suppliers. Conduct audits of in house manufacturing. Monitor supplier performance.

BSEE degree or related field plus 2-5 years related experience or equivalent. Requires a background in high reliability electronics, inspection, soldering and workmanship.
